Flags to half-staff in honour of late Thai King

HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCE has commanded that all Kaharagian flags at the Royal Residence and abroad should be flown at half-staff in memory of the late King of Thailand. His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej was the longest reigning monarch in the rule, assuming the throne after the death of his brother King Ananda Mahidol on 9 June 1946. In his over 70 year reign the King became a well beloved figure whose selfless devotion to his people was known around the world.

His Royal Highness also sent a personal letter of sympathy to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn who is expected to become king in the coming weeks and another to Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who HRH The Prince admires for her devotion to the Thai people much like her father.
