We strongly condemn the recent uptick in hate speech, discrimination, and violence targeting Jewish, Muslim, and Arab communities around the world. We are profoundly saddened and disturbed by these acts, which tear at the fabric of a diverse and pluralistic society.
It’s crucial to understand that the actions of a state or an organization do not represent the beliefs or actions of all individuals within a community. Specifically, the actions of the State of Israel are the actions of its government and are not indicative of the beliefs or actions of all Jewish people globally. Likewise, the actions of Hamas do not represent the actions or beliefs of all Palestinians, Arabs, or Muslims.
As we stand in solidarity with all affected communities, we also strive to differentiate between the actions of governments and organizations and those of individuals. We commit to fostering understanding, tolerance, and peace among all people, regardless of their identity, faith, or background.
